MANHUNT: UNABOMBER #1.01-02 ~ The new, entirely scripted Discovery Channel true crime drama has feature film-caliber performances and production style but stretches its own story too thin to make it a compelling miniseries.
ROOM 104 ~ Jerome previewed 2 episodes of this new HBO anthology show. Both contained elements of the supernatural, ended ambiguously, and left Jerome feeling pretty "meh" about the series. But with an anthology, you never know - maybe the other episodes will be better.

GYPSY #1.01-10 ~ Netflix's new original drama series starring Naomi Watts has components that would make it a great show: an excellent cast and an intriguing premise. But Jerome thinks there's something missing that will keep it in the "just OK" category.
TWIN PEAKS #1.01-02 ~ With a 25-year gap between the original series and its resurrection on Showtime, Jerome feels the new episodes needed to pack more of a punch in its first 2 hours than it did. Hopefully it will find its focus in the next couple episodes...
THE HANDMAID'S TALE #1.01 ~ This Hulu series based on the 1985 book is unfortunately relevant to current events, with issues of gender equality, reproductive rights, and civil liberties brought to life by an excellent cast and production design.
